definitely feeling Rude Kid, Sing For Me is deep, Ghetto is so perfect on that, the vibe is amazing - maliciously, darkly erotic. UFO is fucking sick too, proper next sounds
2562 appraisal is interesting. much respect for being truthful though. texturally i think you have a point, but i haven't heard the album yet so can't judge on that

yes really enjoyed the appleblim interview and the depth you went in some of the questions- nice to know his roots and happenings, as his ecclectic style is one of the things I rate him for the most. Always see him skanking IN the crowd at raves as well full on after his sets and not just lurking in the booth- trully a music fan.
Never heard anything by Rude Kid before. He's a quality producer. Nice one Martin.
I dont really agree with what you said about the 2562 album but each to their own. The only thing thats a bit of a personal let down is that there are four tracks I've already battered to death on it. I think the vinyl release will make up for this though.

I really want to disagree with the opinion about 2562, because i've loved his two releases on tectonic (well three including the lp sampler) and the brother remix he did for ramp records is fantastic.
However it does kind of seem he's going down the same street all the time. It's a fucking wonderful street, that i honestly enjoy fully, but it's still the same street. And I wonder how many times we can all really go down it.

nah nah, it's not bad, it's just very similar and a style that's hard to do well, given the competition and proximity to other genres.Corpsey wrote:''I would rather stick a real TV aerial up my arsehole than listen to ''Aerial'' the album ever again''- Martin 'Doesn't Back-Down-Black-down' Clark, Pitchfork Media, 2008

honestly that wasn't a bad review: i mostly dont bother reviewing stuff that truly makes my blood boil... badmind doesnt help anyone.
