they were trying to work out why if you walk from the north pole to australia (yeah because that's even possible....) why you don't end up upside down or have all the blood in your head

and why when there's a solar eclipse you can see the shadow of the earth, when we're on the earth ourselves (oh really? )

i keep having to stop myself butting in and making myself look like an idiot

thankfully they're now talking about football again so they're on the same familiar, well over-trodden path, they're usually on

Worthy of a cake? Can you share some of their astronomical stupidity please?

Edit: Oh. You have.

i doubt they'd even be able to fathom how to get the cake from a plate to their mouth tbh. maybe if they go for the pigs in a trough approach they might manage

Well I find them very entertaining, think you should start a webcam, then give them a topic to discuss, so we can all watch and laugh at their collective stupidity/ignorance

You missed the cake.

Like buses, there'll be 3 coming along at the same time, thereby avoiding any unnecessary jam.

well you need to ask yourself what is worse, listening to the same old same old, or getting frustrated with inaccurate, idiotic, imbecilic & illogical interchange [trying to keep with the alliteration].
