andy c is not the messiah of dnb. he's a very good dj, but he's not this mythical level dj that people make him out to be. i don't rate his selection at all.

now, dj randall or bukem.....all day, any day. having the newest latest box of ultra exclusives, doesn't make the dj, and these guys have made that point for 10 years straight.

I think he is the most diverse selecter ever. Caters for the majority of sub genres, has tech / jump up / some liquid / a few anthems / drum funk

really really diverse selection, i know what your saying but you only have to look at nightlife 4 too see that his TL on that is what the scene is today

calibre
lomax
commix
heist
hazard
g dub
spor
break

are they REALLY shit producers? What i would call possible the BEST producers in the scene today for their sub genre

you dont see only liquid djs being at the top
you dont see only jump up djs being at the top
blah blah

ok maybe hype

what im trying to say is, he is adored by many purely because he caters for nearly all genres and he backs this up with the most TIGHTEST mixing around, not a clang in sight....and i can tell you now andy may have the fattest dubs the most VIPS but he doesnt only rinse them out.

And whoever said andys dubs are cut at the same bpm. your most likely wrong as i have seen andy pitch chase before right before my eyes, and dont get me wrong but if you had the option to cut all your dubs at the same bpm wouldnt you? To free up time and give you more time to concentrate on a tease or a DD?

even though i might not like some of what they play, it's admirable that people like andy c and tiesto have stayed at the top of their respective genres for the past 10 or so years. wasn't andy c 16 or something when he wrote valley of the shadows?

Also, Andy C is excellent and has been for years, but the comparisons are silly. Plus I always liked Hype better anyway...

I've seen Andy C about 10-20 + times, and the last few times the sets have been really uninspiring. He plays almost exactly the same sets and his tune selection is too dancefloor orientated. He's done some amazing things for dnb but he doesn't compare to Bukem/Randall or even Friction who is much more diverse with his selection (imo)
