vocal samples
from whence come they?
i've spent the last few days lookin around for pop songs/soul songs with vocal-only sections but gaahd people are just impatient with intensity! radio-friendly songs just keep blasting volume and loads and loads of instruments and loads of layers of vocals at you non-stop!
it really doesn't matter at all what these samples say or even the tune coz i wana mash them up beyond recognition: i've already done most of the tune i wana put them in...
am i gona have to buy a sample CD? where do all the big producers get them from, i'm assuming they don't get in some lovely bird to sing for them [in fact i can't even imagine most dubstep producers having microphones..]
please help.

Rip a DVD as any old video file (make sure you use a program that allows you to control the audio quality. Then drag it into your sequencer and extract the audio you want. Movies are normally good for samples because most, unlike TV programs don't have a sound track in the background. I gave up on trying to sample Changing Rooms because they always had drum & bass in the background
