He plays almost exactly the same sets and his tune selection is too dancefloor orientated. He's done some amazing things for dnb but he doesn't compare to Bukem/Randall or even Friction who is much more diverse with his selection (imo)
everytime i see andy c he plays to the crowd and venue...

at fabric he plays alot of commercial stuff well more time before its known enough to be commercial but massive tunes that ALOT of people would know the name of release date etc etc before long...

but then in cambridge he played some bashmenty roller style tunes with some jungly feel, hes still smashin it imo, many people would disagree.

the jon bon jovi of dubstep has no hair

How people can knock Andy C is beyond me, although DnB is certainly not my genre of choice you can't fault aforementioned DJ's skill. Just because a musical genre has fallen out of favour does not degrade the inherent quality of those DJs pushing it.

As for Tiesto, I really couldn't care about Trance but he gives the continentals what they want, are you going to knock him for that? Look at his sparkling studio and the plethora of fans he has. I know I'd like to play to that many people loving dubstep.
andy c is not the messiah of dnb. he's a very good dj, but he's not this mythical level dj that people make him out to be. i don't rate his selection at all.

now, dj randall or bukem.....all day, any day. having the newest latest box of ultra exclusives, doesn't make the dj, and these guys have made that point for 10 years straight.
For me mixing is a bedfellow of selection. And I think his selection is overlooked actually. I'm reminded of his long mixes with synchronised double drops absolutely tearing roofs off.

Personally, I think he gets the credit he deserves. Although messiah is a bit strong!

Affirmative.
shit is that true?
Yep and to think he was playing at Telepathy at the Wax in '94, he couldn't have been old enough to get in lol

He defo plays to the crowd, you gotta see him at the right venues on the right nights and he's guaranteed to destroy it. Valve and Renegade Hardware anyone?

that's the biggest urban legend in dnb.... he's just that quick & flawless that people think he must be doing that.

I agree. Massive compliment that people assume such nonsense because you're a badboy on the decks.

I just really really like this little sentence right here. Pretty much what I always try and say but never so on point.
