This was an amazing night at room 1!! I had the opening slot and played some hiphop and general weirdness, then 30mins of offkey house and about an hour of dubstep/garage things.

then Craig Richards played a dubbed out set starting with old 70s/80s dub, then quite a long mix of dubstep, we heard ramadanman, 2562/made up sound, shackleton remix of reminissin, and quite a bit more, then onto deep dubbed out techno a la deepchord, basic channel etc. Was great to see how slow he built up his set, no panic when some people walk out of the room, he knows they'll come back, Craig knows this room inside and out :)

After Craig, Beatpharmacy aka Brendon Moeller played an hour long live set with a variety of house related styles and some cool beats as well, for the second 30 mins Space Ape joined him on stage and they performed a few collab tracks they've done, was wicked and the crowd liked it!

Last but not least Francois K tore the place to pieces, me and Rams were in the booth checking out his setup with 2 cdj's, 2 decks, Traktor Scratch, oldskool roland reverb/delay unit, a humongous pioneer effects rack and his own EQ unit :) This guy is such a scientist! I didnt like all the tracks he played but the buildups, the way he reads the crowd and the way he transforms all the music into his own is unique. We only caught the first 1,5 hr but we heard Carl Craig, 2562 Techno Dread, a Pinch tune on Souljazz, Dillinja Grimey (!), Jonny L, Kromestar!

Really interesting to see legends like Craig and Francois take on dubstep in a completely different setting, props to them for keeping an eye on the music, picking out the best bits and making them work in their sets, and playing them like no dubstep dj would ever think of playing them.
