Who is to say what 'sounds like dubstep'?

if you think you can run this music on self powered speakers then you miss the point completely. this is soundsystem music. that means a truck full of speakers and amps, crossovers and box men. promoters need to understand this.....
In Spain people listen to Drum n mid range - different grnre :lol:

On inferior systems, the physicality of bass music is lost, so instead DJs/producers rely on midrange to deliver the energy in the audible range to ensure that people actually dance.

midrange greatly dilutes one of the original ideals behind the music.

dubstep need more gabba kick
more well produced reece (btw you can do other automation on lp than wooble innit !!!!)

Space is cool for home listening dancefloor need rudeboy bassline ! (it's just my .2 cent of course)

for me there is two basic factors that make dubstep:

1. around about 140bpm (ruffly)

2. bass.
