Oi fellas,

My brotha and I are heading down to NYC for the 20th and are dying to go to this show, only problem is my bro is only 20... its only 18 to drink here in the freezing North (Canada) and get into shows.... how stiff is the carding in the City? Can a boi blag his way in?

They check ID at the door... my advice to you is to wait until Midnight, then walk around the side where the smokers are standing... hop under the rope to the smoking area(common occurrence, people coming and going)

walk that side to the bouncer and try and walk through the door... he's gonna tell you to get in line, or more likely wave you in(he has NEVER stopped me on my way into the club, unless the show isn't on yet, or I'm in line and he asks for ID...)

if you bypass the line and shit and tell him you've already been in, that will at least get you past the guy checking ID. the next step is to walk down the stairs and pay to get in... no more ID's being checked at that point... pay the man, get the stamp, walk in... got it?

I've gotten about 5 people in with this method... hasn't failed yet.

my way involves paying for the show you're about to see...

Skream and Chef will hand your ass to you in a little Ziplock bag. I'd hate to see Dave Q(and anyone else throwing down on these shows) eat those kinds of financial losses due to people sneaking in without paying.

Flights, Hotels, Equipment, Keeping club owners happy(YEA RIGHT), etc... that shit ain't cheap. Just pay the price(or the reduced price... hello presales!)

In short, bypass showing ID... yes.
Bypass paying for services rendered... no.

I wouldn't take a guest list spot at Dubwar, because I want to financially support my scene. I would hope that nobody would sneak in unless they couldn't get in the door... and then, I'd hope they would find Dave Personally and pay the man.

No. They check the ID's of people standing in line. If you walk past the bouncer to go to the smoking area, then yes... they'll ID you... if you walk past the bouncer FROM the smoking area, no sweat.

Buy the presale tickets... it's not a physical ticket, you go through the door where the bouncer is(same method we've discussed already above) and down the stairs to where EVERYONE PAYS, checks coats, etc... or if you're on the list, this is when you tell them you're on the list... if you already paid, they stamp your hand and you walk in... then from now on, they won't ID you... you have a stamp..

once you are in, you're in... avoid the line at all costs... same method.

I'm tellin ya... once you get past that bouncer, all you need to get past is the cost of getting in... that I can't help you with. Wanna get past that bouncer, you walk right past him... avoid the line, walk to the smoking area... if you come from that direction, they don't even give you a second look. I promise. I haven't EVER seen anyone from the smoking area get carded or told to wait in line and I pretty much go to every Dubwar. And I'm like 5'2" tall and like maybe 95 pounds... they don't card you coming from that area. If you're standing in the smoking area, they assume you're already a paying customer... otherwise, why wouldn't you smoke in the line right?

I'm tellin ya... walk right in and pay.
