And I skank inside the ride,
You can hear it in my accent when I talk,

See us blessing up the dance tonight,

Dun kno Dubwar it do it right!

your attitude really sucks.chamclowder wrote:my way involves paying for the show you're about to see...akida wrote:or you can just walk around the corner and have an over 21 friend let you in via the emergency exit
Skream and Chef will hand your ass to you in a little Ziplock bag. I'd hate to see Dave Q(and anyone else throwing down on these shows) eat those kinds of financial losses due to people sneaking in without paying.
you talk like you never snuck into a party when you were young...
i have no problem paying to get in and paying for all my friends drinks to "support the scene". i spend hundreds at the bar at Dubwar so that Love may continue to see this as a viable monthly party to continue to have, because if Love isn't making money...then Dubwar would have to find a new home.
I can't imagine seeing the countless of talented dubstep dj's play anywhere else in the city.
...probably the only reason i enjoy living in Manhattan is Dubwar.
big up DQ & Secret Agent Gel everytime

Not only do I talk like it, I also walk like it. Theft of services is a violation of property rights, IMO.akida wrote:your attitude really sucks.chamclowder wrote:my way involves paying for the show you're about to see...akida wrote:or you can just walk around the corner and have an over 21 friend let you in via the emergency exit

I've always been on a guest list or paid to get into a show. I can honestly say I don't try to fuck promoters out of money, because I've thrown a party or two myself and know quite well the pain of watching your money disappear into thin air. You're the one who was advocating someone sneaking into a party so they could avoid paying. I would say there is a huge difference between paying and not paying for services rendered. Don't act like you're so fuckin high and mighty blood. Anyone here can tell you my level of support for Dubstep and Dubwar in particular. I don't live IN NY... what you spent in the last year on alcohol at the bar@ Love, I've spent traveling on a few trips to NY. That doesn't include rooms at hotels, food, drinks, admission to the show, etc...
I could take that money and throw my own damn party and still have a couple thousand left over. Keep your mouth shut. You don't know me and you obviously don't know wtf you are talking about. My boyfriend also travels to Dubwar from Philly and has been since the beginning. Find me a hotel in Manhattan for this show for under 300 bucks a night that is more than 3 stars, a bar with beer for less than 5 bucks per to pregame at, and a place to eat dinner for 2 for less than 20 dollars...
now multiply that by ~36 Months... add Trouble and Bass, Rowdy, random one off shows.
Not one fucking time has either of us made any attempt to get guest listed or bypass paying for a show. We've paid for other people who otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford to get in though! Those people probably could have gotten on the list themselves. But see, we value having nights like this to go to, so we support them with more than our rhetoric. Frankly, the accusation that we would steal is insulting. I'm wasting my time here. Do your thing, we'll do ours...

Skream himself prolly isn't old enough to get into the club yet--I'm all for underage kids being able to hear music. That's not what I was saying, I was saying they should still pay.akida wrote:this is so awesome, i don't know where to begin...chamclowder wrote:Don't act like you're so fuckin high and mighty blood.

I told them how to get in through the front door in a legitimate manner(as legitimate as that could be anyway)

woaaaaah..... and on a completely unrelated (?) note -
HOLY FREAKING BABY JESUS, THIS WEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!
Up the positive vibes! Down the aggro! Let's celebrate, see you all there for the bouncement
CONGRATS TO ALL DUB WAR FAM! You have cultivated and shared something truly spectacular. I know it takes an immense amount of time, energy, love and respect to create such a thing- and there have been enough completely irreplicable moments and vibes at this night to prove that something's gone right.
Thank you for this, that and all the sweaty booty-shaking. Friday night, BOOM!
