Jazzstep - a tune (and another silly genre name)

Post by gravious » Wed Nov 23, 2005 10:28 pm

I read someone talking about Skream makin jazz on here the other day, and someone mentioned 'jazzy dubstep' and how it would be cool to hear some. Couldn't find the original post, but hey ho...

Anyway, it reminded me of this tune I started a few months back, so I looked it out -> http://www.sendspace.com/file/9t27qn

"Welcome to jazz club. Nice..."

I'll get my dad to listen to my tunes yet...

If the thought of homemade jazz horrifies you, look away now.

Yeah, fully. Forgot about him! Quality producer.

Theres loads of examples of jazz sneaking into this kinda music.
E.G Classic deluxe pt 2, that Skream stuff at the end of his mix (as you say), landslide, and joenice played a jazzy influenced Soundproof production thing a while back.

I personally like to see more musical stuff coming in!

I see you mention jazzstep, here's a mix I did for Alicia Keys not long ago, in fact you can even vote for it still =)

I don't think the name jazzstep is any sillier than the name dubstep.
