its all part of the hype as well surely, hearing a set from a dj you know, wondering if he will draw for that track. the anticipation when you hear it in the mix.
it is important that you do not think of certain players as djs and think of them as an artist displaying/performing their works. this is how certain "dj's " ,be it loef or digi or skream or distance, keep their own unique style and sound.
one of the most refreshing things for me at a dubstep event , is not hearing certain big tunes through out the night. ( not likely at a DnB night! big tunes can be played upwards of three times in one night.)
i understand the position of the havenots. but is it elitist not share your toys with other kids in the sandpit?...

it's called ALTRUISM. doing something not for PERSONAL GAIN, but for the greater good. if you have a fat beat, share.
also, when a song doesn't come out for soo long, i lose interest and end up not buying it, cause the songs been played out for me.
Nothing really works that way, not even charities these days.
It really ends up being pointless to complain or discuss these things. You just have to get proactive, and then you may end up having access to more.
You wont get it this route. No one will take sympathy on you and pile tracks on your doorstep, and the complaints wont change anything.
I am sure many people have already responded to this thread the same way.

Sounds like it's coming from a spoiled brat. If you can't have it right away you won't have it at all. If you're really into the music you'll be able to wait for the releases just as everybody else. I've been waiting for what seemed like ages for certain tracks and when they finally dropped I was thrilled to get hold of them. So just chill and cut the mewantee attitude...clone.A.K. wrote:yes! that's the point.poax wrote:i understand the position of the havenots. but is it elitist not share your toys with other kids in the sandpit?...

heh heh. most of my producer friends will leave the room in disgust if they hear one of their tracks being played. i and i'm sure many others love The Beatles song "And Your Bird Can Sing". John Lennon described it as a "horror", a throwaway, and believed it to be the worst thing he ever wrote next to "I Dig A Pony".1.why would someone make a song they don't like???????????seriously.
