yea i've used nothing but mdrv700s since i started. Cheaper than others and a good all round choice. I find they are a bit vicelike after 3 hours, but they have excellent insulation in their design which makes them real good in the club (better than HD-25s IMO for this, but guess that depends on the size of your head and the state of your ears).abstractsound wrote:sony mdrv700dj

knew a producer/engineer who loved to use these to give artists for recording sessions, especially drummers. they do a great job at preventing background noise from coming in..
like decklyn said though i would think for DJing comfort and durability are very important factors.. all depends on the shape of your gourd
About them always breaking in the same place. Yes this is true, but only for MK1 ones. The ones that are newly produced do not have the same problem.
After a good 3 years of use, I think mine are slowly dying on me (been cained to death and used as speakers at times :S) so will probably invest in some HD-25s when the time comes, as they have such good sound quality.
