Just finished off version 1 of my sample contest entry, all done in Renoise.

The pattern sequencer takes some getting used to, but I see the genius of it ("Make Selection Unique" ;) )

Yeah mate it is ALL about Make Selection Unique, and Render Selection To Sample.

The Clear Muted Tracks function comes into play to make up the holy trinity of hyper fast track making.

Mintus.

I wonder when the next version is out.

I am toying with the idea of installing Ubuntu...

hmm thats interesting. I run osx, but if i ran a windows box, it would have been converted to a linux box long ago i think... im sick of windows. The question really is, are there many good LADSPA plugins? i'd need reaktor to run in linux to make it worthwhile for me.

You know what; I have got a new Laptop; An IBM (real IBM, not Lenovo). I rammed out the RAM, stuck a 7200 Travelstar drive in etc, and it is amazing with XP.

Literally no issues

I am on SP3 too.

Renoise runs with a billion plugs and a billion tracks, and I can watch a fucking movie in the background whilst making music. All good.

I still want to move to Ubuntu 100% though, because of the ethics involved.

Any Ubuntu heads want to help me out??? Make is make sense for me?
