all you need to do is find a station willing to put it out really. dubluke and von found a station that were taking people so if you talk to them they might be willing

as for making it work i'm not sure what you mean? regular listeners and stuff?

nah I ment more on the lines of making sure the stream is working. Can you not just stram it over the net? why do you need to go through a station? seriously I know shit all about this kinda ting

@DDD, that is fucking amazing, wish I had found that, though the 20mb I was getting from Virgin was good (well its still good but I got 12mnth contract and a fudge load of problems.)

i'm pretty sure you can't but i might be wrong. people on the other end would need something to listen from ie. a radio station or website or whatever

generally you need a server - depends on your setup really - you could use your own at home but you'd need to get your geek feet on for that and it's cheaper to use a host site really....

most radio stations that are already up and running are nice enough to shoulder these costs for all our benefits, which is very nice of them i must say...

if it's got sufficient hosting specs then yeah... but i doubt it if it was just a bog standard website. It's not a small task though. You need to think about what format and encoder you want to use - just audio, etc?

The advantage of using an already setup station is some nice mug has already done the legwork and put a lot of time and effort into getting it working - plus the established ones already have a fairly die hard crowd of listeners (*pulls another innocent face).

Worth playing around with certainly - depends what you want to do with it and how far you want to take it.

how was sonar mate? that skweee battle between flogsta and harmonia looked like it would have been wicked

don't think accomodation should be a problem as (i think) spooks was saying he has 2 pretty much vacant houses
we need to sort this then...i don't LIVE in bristol, but being student i do have (until the 24th of July) a room+kitchen+living room) in a probably otherwise vacant house 20 mins out, by my uni campus. the internet connection, if still there, probably isn't good enough though, i wouldn't have thought.
I will also have a house (from the 1st of July onwards) nearer the centre that would be ok for accomodation, but won't have an internet connection by then...
Also all my kit, like decks and speakers, are home in wales, and i don't drive.
:) that's what i can contribute i'm afraid. (minus tunes)

ok no worries spooks. don't know if EFA's got anywhere with sorting a pub but maybe it's worth getting in touch with thinking to see if he might have a better idea of suitable venues. will try and get in touch with EFA tonight to sort things out

I'm looking into a venue but concerned about the practicalities of doing a pub for various reasons - I didn't realise how deep SNR rolled when I was thinking about doing it at mine

Will keep yall posted

My street lingo's just going over peoples heads now - either that or I don't know what I'm talkin about - anyway lots of you want to come is what I'm getting at so a few options are being looked at and we may have to put the date back a little but bare with me!
