The Great Void wrote: The guy obviously had no clue that drum n bass existed on mass in the underground and that Roni Size never went anywhere, hes been on it since 1994. I find it amusing anyone takes him seriously as a radio presenter, there are 14 year olds out there with a deeper knowledge of music, and who have been listening to good dance music for longer. Hes just a bandwagon jumper. Ask him what he thinks of Roni Size today and see what he says :D  :P
he was talking bout the scene in nz years ago on his show last week, unfortunately for him he then proceeded to play machete

he is a bloody annoying hype merchant ain't he. he's almost tolerable on the telly but on radio it just doesn't work. all that pigging talking over the tracks too, sounds awful.

he has the shit ripped out of him in this review i found. this time for his commercial work. jokes. hate those satan servants accepting cheques to promote stuff:

anyone hear that band from a couple'three years ago that zane lowe was in (not sure what he played, maybe he was just the hypeman). They were called Breaks Co-op, and as well as having the shittest band name ever, they were the total epitome of middle-aged, post-crowded house acoustic circle-jerk indie toss.

yea my friend had their album and let me borrow it. It was just what you described above and not recommended at all, even though I do have quite a soft spot for the likes of Guster etc. but not this it is not worth the money or the dl.
It was signed to something like emi or virgin as well, blatantly on the back of his fame.

Zane Lowe played the O'Jays, though. Give him some credit.
