One of our remixers has turned this out, not what we normally go with, so some feedback would be cool...
CLICK HERE AND CHECK THE "INTERNATIONAL JOURNEY TRACK"
I am only leaving this up for 24 hours peeps...
Cheers

edit: aggro post removed
bit leaning to the comercial side for my tastes, in terms of arrangement and the full length vocal.

As I said in the original post, its not what we do, so hence I came to those people who know about it... Constructive comments are always appreciated. I have not come here intending to rip anyones style or cash in... We put out underground music... just not from this genre... Anyway isn't it about crossing boundries, is that not what helps progress music...narcossist wrote:Sounds like OUtkast just heard about the lastest new sounds and decided to cash in, but not before asking the very people who's style they just fuckin wasted what they think. Dubstep is more than a fuckin drum pattern and some bass.
Both your other post asking for airplay of this tune, and the fact your only leaving it up for 24 hrs, suggest that you couldn't really give a fuck what people think and that you're simply hoping someone on the radio likes it and asks you for a copy. Good luck.
Its great to see someone who is protective and passionate about the scene they obviously care about, but is there any need to be so aggressive to someone is seeking advice... It was suggested by another user on this forum to stick it up, I originally thought as it was not straight up dubstep no one from here would be into listening.
Also its only up for 24 hours as the remixer wants to tweak some sounds, but wanted to get some feedback before he gets back in the studio...
Hope that clears that up with you!
Don't actually think it's too bad, but think that it won't be moody enough for some here, but I like the slackness in the beat and the bass plays nice with it. Think that if you're going to try and make it more song-based then maybe the sections should be more hooky, and the outro goes on way too long, bit too noodly, not enough substance to it I think, sounds like the tracks getting more disinterested in that section.
Hmm....

Understood... As mentioned not what we do, the guy who mixed it does heavier stuff but wanted to try and give it a little soul...Shonky wrote:Don't actually think it's too bad, but think that it won't be moody enough for some here, but I like the slackness in the beat and the bass plays nice with it. Will pass on the comments... cheers

sorry bout that earlier post mate, shouldn't write stuff when i'm in such a foul mood.
Its not that bad a track at all, i think what i should have said earlier was that although it contains elements which have become synonomous with dubstep, it doesn't really keep with the dubstep aesthetic.
Re the cashing in bit, fair point man, i know your hardly EMI or nothing. just wary [as i'm sure alot of heads are] that everyman and his dog are gonna want a piece of the dubstep pie now its become more widely accepted. that said i'm hardly in a position to preach or nuthin so whatever. peace

Hey man, no worries, we are entitled to blow up time to time... Yeah agreed its not a straight up Dubstep track, defo got elements but a lot softer in feel, as I said not normally what we do, but its kinda got to me and its starting to blur some musical boundries I think... The original is a straight up booty shaking bruk beat workout, summer vibes all the way... I will be hanging about on this forum so hopefully we will chat again...narcossist wrote:sorry bout that earlier post mate, shouldn't write stuff when i'm in such a foul mood.
