It doesn't take too long to google up "Oprah's favourite things"
It doesn't take long either to read the thread

i'd like to stick them on a plane and drop them off in the middle of baghdad so they can get a better perspective on what really matters in life.
Bit extreme that isen't it?
Dropping people in baghdad wont give them a better perspective of life, they'll just go, "OOOOOH, look at all the explosions ..........................................and wasted money".
They should go and spend a weekend with richard gere, he's a buddhist and he just makes me lol.
i think witnessing real life or death situations is a wake up call for most western citizens. it doesn't necessarily have to be a war zone, but i can make a pretty big bet that it would make you know that the things in life you once thought were important all suddenly become completely and utterly meaningless.
richard gere? what the fuck.

Have you witnessed one of these situations and are now preaching to the rest of "us" westerners?
People can see for themselves whats important to them without having to go to another country or situation, if your ruling out a warzone, we aren't all like oprah winfrey fans.
Richard gere's just cool btw, officer and a gentleman man...
thats multi-tasking.

lol. thats a crazy vid. i think that the US is so culturally different from Europe that it becomes difficult to relate to them as you would to another european country. we know why ze germans eat sauerkraut and the french love garlic. but the US is just so huge and so far away from us, and the extreme liberal capitalism going on there can make people go crazy about weird shit like free stuff.
i mean, those women were more excited than the spanish winning the euro last nite! it's like she granted them eternal life.
althou i wouldn't condone dropping them into baghdad. maybe a nomad tribe in mongolia might be less agressive.

i'm not quite sure where to go with this to be honest. and i think you've misunderstood a lot of what i've said and taken things literal.
the main point i'm making is that they (the oprah audience) are nothing but commercial tools, and it's sad.
