just for reference sakes, is it mandatory to have this kind of copyright babble stated on a release?

i just meant that, by having it on the label you'd have something to stand on if you ever had legal problems or had to take someone to court. without it, you have nothing to stand on. thats all.DubNerd wrote:i was just curious because if i had a label, i wouldn't want it on the print work.
good luck.

Between you and me, if you had a label, you really really WOULD want that on the print work.DubNerd wrote:i was just curious because if i had a label, i wouldn't want it on the print work.

I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.
I like the one on Soul Motive 001.

wouldn't public humiliation and a general lack of respect within a scene for a producer be far worse than a fine? or is it to do more with major label producers nicking your tune idea for a shitty chart song and then selling millions? out right ripping off i can understand, but saying you shouldn't be lending and broadcasting. the copyright regime can go such my balls.
