I like variety in my beats.

so please bring some of the old horsepower type beats and some vox to go with the other bits.

variety is the key to keep from getting stale !

This is one of the oddest things I've heard from an artist "we can make it this way or that way, whatever people want"

I was going to respond "you should do what you want/feel/need, not what your fans ask for", but maybe this online interactive focus group bizniss is the way of the future (despite its proximity to what politicians use before an election), a new model for art...

So while I'm here, a little light definitely lifts the sometimes depressing mood of dubstep, and a likkle i) junglist rollage, ii) UKG swing and iii) technoid riffage/bleepage (see Skream's Lightning for i & iii, Burial for ii) go a long way also.

Vocals: there ia alot more about these days! i think its a good thing, aslong as wel dont getwhole vocal sets!

half step, i think a mix of both minimal and full beats! i mean i like to start a set with early tempa and end with sum s+d.

Darkness- im on the dubby tip at the mo, but it changes every week.

i think divercity is the main thing.

Your latest tunes are all incredibly tight espescially that one with the sample "You killed them!" or something like that and the ambient/braindead sounding synth stabs, v fast and impressive.
Singing vocals good. Your music I have heard so far is just the right balance of dark and light. Variation is the key I reckon. Every four or so tunes make a dub tune,or a ragga tune, or a soca tune, or a rocky tune, or a dnb drum pattern, or with technoey/electronica synths. All of the above can sound amazing. A lot of people say that dubstep could do with emcees, but they can come on afterwards like Crazy D mostly does in sets. Sampled ragga/hip hop from accapellas is all good for remixes, and putting a personality on a tune. I don't know. I would really like to hear a Benny Ill or Horsepower tune with an Mc or crew of MC's on it! maybe this would work better with a two step ting, but maybe better with dub/reggae style toasting, who knows? As a serious dubstep fan I would ask you benny to think twice before giving too much vocals in tunes. I believe dubstep is still in days of exploring new ideas and definetely underground music. If producers start to put too much vocals in dubstep I think eventually will become cheesy and too pop. Popular music is based on vocals because people remember pretty vocals faster than baselines!! I just love baselines..of course it depends on the style of vocals as well im just talkin in general..u could always sample tibetian or mongolian etno or whatever and would contribute to expanding ideas of this sound much more than using some funky vocals to sing along in my opinion..
As a producer I know sometimes its hard to make decisions but I would ask u not to hurry with vocal anthems. U know people would love that, u know the tune will work 4 sure. As a true fan of yours i know u got better skills than that. In my opinion its too soon not to explore anymore..But than again if u wanna make dubstep big and popular really fast its up 2 you..i know its gonna ruin everything for me-it happened to drumnbas..
As soon as sweet sing along tunes start to overcome thats when ull know dubstep became popular...and thats when im definetely out of the game.. full respect to benny

I tell you smth. I still play "Givin' Up On Love". One of my most played tunes in the category: fuckin' deep. This one is amazing.
