Cannibal Holocaust is one of the most depressing films I have ever seen.
A mate convinced me to watch it because he really bought into the whole revisionist view of 1970's and '80's video nasties being worthy of academic study. He thought it was some kind of 'comment on exploitation films from the 1930s'.
That is bollocks I'm afraid.
It is just a deeply unpleasant film. Scenes of real animal torture are particularly nasty. Do not watch this.

Oh God yes, Jumper is just a complete mess.
Can't believe someone's nominated Superbad though. That's one of the best American comedies in years! 'The funny thing about my back is that it's located on my cock'. Classic!
jumper was just, the most STUPIDEST movie I have ever seen

Is Cannibal Holocaust the film where the director got the cast to go into hiding after the film to make it seems more authentic? Same film with the woman impaled on a spike? Not nice.

From the wikipedia entry
The original controversy surrounding the film's release was the belief that Cannibal Holocaust was an actual snuff film, or that the actors were murdered in order to film their deaths for the movie. The film was confiscated ten days after premiering in Milan and Deodato was arrested. The courts believed not only that the four actors portraying the missing film crew were killed for the camera, but that the actress in the impalement scene was actually skewered in such a manner. To make matters worse for Deodato, the actors had signed contracts with him and the producers ensuring that they would not appear in any type of media, motion pictures or commercials for one year after the film's release, as to promote the idea that the film was truly the recovered footage of missing documentarians. Thus, when Deodato claimed that he had not killed the group, questions arose as to why the actors were in no other media if they were alive.
Hmm....

Bit nuts like!
Still though quite a decent idea, you know don't let the cast be in the public eye for a year for the realistic factor but if there was a REAL death on the film doubt I'll be watching it any time soon bit to grim for me

I'm not being a tryhard when I say that Miami Vice is one of the worst films I've ever seen.
And I used to really like Michael Mann.
