Keeping w/Eric Rohmer's "Six Moral Tales", I watched Claire's Knee again last night.
There are many very, very memorable elements to this film:
1. Jean-Claude Brialy's character in this film may be one of the sleaziest I can think of.
2. Nestor Almendros's shooting of Lake Annecy in France is, again, something that will be lovingly remembered, probably forever. A God...
3. The character of Aurora in this film is so incredibly striking to me. I've never been able to get over how gorgeous I think she is, and how insane I think Jean-Claude Brialy is in her treatment of her(I won't say more on this...)

or even really bad korean or japanese sci fi
Electric Dragon 5000000v (or something like that)
Casshern (crappy story but looks amazing)
Avalon (live action Mamoru Oshii)
I'm struggling to think of too many other Japanese ones..Most of the best japanese sci fi is anime tbh..

tonight I am watching "Sweet Movie" - yeah that one...
Last Night I watched this really good stop motion film with puppets..it was about a noble girl who started going into trances after making 1000 copies of a rare buddhist sutra..I will find the title now..it is worth seeing if you are rigid and old fashioned..
The Book of the Dead..

also watched Death in Venice - well made film, but I am missing something that I think is necessary to fully enjoy the film..and that thing is paedophilia.

Watched Cool Hand Luke last night, one of those I always meant to catch but always missed it, wasn't disappointed at at, great film.
Tonight I watched Taegukgi (aka Brotherhood), about the Korean War..truly one of the most brutal films I've seen! The battle scenes were brilliantl filmed, the story a little contrived but decent enough.
I'm trying to catch up on some of the old classics I've not watched, Sky Classics is the one
