abZ wrote:My initials as AB. My boy was calling me A-Beezy and everyone else started saying that so it stuck. I just made it abz but I didn't want people calling me abz so I made the Z bigger hoping someone would figure it out. Didn't really work. Real fucking clever. Here is the deal, you just make dope tunes and dj your ass off and no one will fuck with you about your boring dj name. If your not that good then you are going to need to put some thought into it and possibly grow some dreadlocks or someshit.
Throw some hyphens on that bitch... or something.
Bit of a joke talking about producing under a name when i haven't been producing all that long and all, but i went for the standard nickname trick, luckily mine was relatively flattering and close enough to my real name to not make me feel like a pretentious ass.

Dom has been in this from day 1 though
Yo..
He messaged me about this and we spoke briefly about it on net.
I told him that its not a thing where I'm trying to BE him. His mum named him dominic, so did mine. I'm not even watching him really. Theres enough space in dubstep for 2 of us and if people get confused then it only takes a few words to set them straight.

One of your ancestors must have done something horrifically badass to get that name.

lol - I also use 00 cause I used to make afrobeat as 00afro => I'm a Nigerian, hence the afro bit...
OoGuN came from the first part of my surname, Ogun... who is also a Yoruba god concerned with making new pathways and iron and war... had to have Oo at the front since it sits better with 00afro...
on reflection, best to keep away from Yoruba god names unless you know something about Santeria or vodu as you get lots of people trying to friend you on myspace and asking which orisha is your head...

Blizzard. BRAD is my name and if you rearrange the letters of my name you'll get BRAD (and then lizz left over). My other nickname is Detunata because I drop bombs for tunes.

Soundcloud
If you like jungle / drum and bass you'll like the above!
