I like the drop and the bassline swaps tbh. The vocal is plop however....

If this track dropped in a rave and you didn't know who made it I bet people would love it.

Save for the vocal, I like it! :)

Propane Nightmares makes me puke though...... :(

They will drain the scene and then move on, dennouncing dubstep and proclaiming some new flavour of the month. They make music in the most shrewd and soulless way.

this

They were always just another band, then hit d n b, made a couple of phat tunes got big and thought oh shit look we can be a band again now we dont need to do this d n b crap. Its all bollocks really, same percussion in every track same synths. Just lazy production. Unfortunately theyve managed to crack the mix down side of things so they get away with it.

MEH!

Even tho when i heard of this i had laready pressumed it to be trash, upon listening, it actually couldve been alright, but that goofy synth if fuckin retarded
Are they just gonna take the same synth/drum.bass/vocal pattenrs and apply them to each and every genre they can, I mean, really it all just sound slike the cheesey garbage dnb they were making and now they just applied it to breaks and dubstep

alot of dnb producers have good mixdowns (i not gunna lie). But the compostion is dnb slowed down. Its makes wonder cus these guys are just jumping on the wagon (like alot of other dnb producers). A year ago they never liked dubstep. Is this the shortcut to death of dubstep?
My sustained bass lines @ 80hz, makes your girl horny.

What a negative thread..!! :(

If ya don't like pendulum, don't listen to them, don't talk about them, don't buy tickets to their shows.............

Instead of cussing their poor dubstep form, why not prove yourself and make some phat music that we all do want to listen to. Then get bookings to play out and rinse it so I can pull my bass faces when I come see you play live! :)

See this way everyone can be a winner eh? :?

i like some of their dnb but this is not for me at all.
same old mid range boringness, plus it sounds like they've catted night on the sly.

For what it's worth, Tech Itch is bullshit as well... all we need now is Baron, Fresh and Andy C to come and really show us how the wobble is supposed to clear a dancefloor and we're in business.

Dreadsonacid.com here we come.

Shit, we already have "DieselBoy" in the name of a Stateside Dubstep DJ not to be named in this thread :D

EDIT: and to be honest, I can't be sure this isn't just Trill Bass in disguise... lame ass wobble mids with annoyingly sharp snares, and no subs... definitely Trill Bass.

Trill Bass are Pendulum?

its cliche to say it but their older stuff was so good. vault, spiral, still grey, that one on RH with Bulletproof. etc etc

Having said that I dont think the remix is that bad. Theyve proven that theyre talented producers so i'm sure they could turn their hand to anything.

i know this is a dubstep forum but drum and bass has to be taken into account because a lot of the people on this site would have moved on from that to dubstep. and i would just like to speak for these people when i say pendulum are producing some of the weakest most embarasing music ever been released right now and can fuck off dubstep forever. they are one of the reasons i packed up d&b for good and that was a long time ago. its only got worse!

How can you put them in the same category?

tech itch makes far more deep, brutal & interesting music than them....his tune one of us is incredible & goes so well with any electro/techno in a set...

he's made tons of wicked halfstep tunes as well

Interesting is in the eye of the beholder, first of all... his DnB ain't interesting to me. Second of all, his Dubstep tunes sound like 140ish versions of his DnB tunes, essentially.

They are LFO wobblers and gritty ass knockoff-step. Point of order there as well, before it's said "well all kinds of people are playing his dubstep tunes"

I defy you to point to the decent headliners playing them out... when is the last time Mala dropped Know?

Anyone?

He makes hardcore tunes, but so do lots of "punk" bands that don't know how to string 3 Chords together. Really, they're one in the same... one group of lame bastards makes shit DnB and now makes some dubstep that sucks too... the other guy isn't a member of a group...

the only difference is the numbers of shit producers behind the name.

I see what your saying and sometimes am a little bored of the nasty d&b and just want to kick back & listen to fanu or photek...but i don't think he's just another skullstep producer...there is a menacing atmosphere to his tunes and to me they're more than just aggresive for the sake of it...

I really don't see why mala great as he is or others within the D fraternity not playing his tunes makes them bad and that makes me smh tbh :)

I fucking love untold artists that are not played out by any of the big guns but this does not matter to me...broken note, boxcutter, gravious & marlow are all amazing imo yet not played out by the main boys....it is irrelevant to me...

I like most points of view within music & can appreciate things at opposite ends of the spectrum...pendulum for one have no where near the depth to their sound that tech itch has and their ghey midrange is my main problem with them...
