it's just wether they choose to do it or not. I missed the whole of E3.. but it looks like to me MS did good. The new update in autumn looks live!
cool, fingers crossed they implement it. it's not a major thing for me but i dont wanna spend all them p's and end up with a gimped console.

to sum up though, e3 this year was WHACK. where's the new software/ideas?

I've just unpacked my PS3, turned it on for the first time in months! Spending tonight playing it..

Anyone up for some COD4? Burnout? Unreal? Motorstorm?

I'd be just as happy playing one-player Uncharted or something..

I finally got round to watching the Res Evil 5 trailer, and holy shit, that game looks truly amazing. I might play through Res Evil 4 on the gamecube again in preparation :D

I've just bought a Gamecube & 8 games off ebay for 30 quid.

I never had one when it came out, can anyone recommend us some good games for it?

Also, Rhythm Tengoku Gold on the DS is probably the best computer game I've ever played. It's even better than Picross or Animal Crossing. Don't think it's getting an English release though :(

Killer7 was quirky fun

I always wanted to try Pikmin and Eternal Darkness

(I'm assuming you'd know all the Zelda, Mario, etc)

Wave Race: Blue Storm
Metroid Prime 1 & 2
Eternal Darkness (a must own!!! i'm tempted to crack this out again in fact)
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (the platformer you play with the drums)
1080 Avalanche
Mario Sunshine (fuck the haters!!)
F-Zero GX (hardcore!)
Star Wars Rogue Leader (the first one. has some amazing battles against star destroyers, hard as nails though)

Oh, and i think there's this series called Smash Bros that came out on it at some point. Sounds shit though

never played a single game of Smash Bros you know  should probably try it

It came with

VIRTUA STRIKER 2002
STARFOX ADVENTURES
ROCKY
SONIC ADVENTURE 2 BATTLE
LUIGI'S MANSION
ACE GOLF
RESIDENT EVIL
2002 FIFA WORLD CUP

none of which are particularly interesting except SA2B (because I'm a sucker for sonic games)

cheers for the suggestions, i'll have a look around to buy them. i'm going to get zelda, mario sunshine & (obviously) animal crossing too

It's a PAL console by the way, is it region free?

Don't be silly. The ones I've left on your list are great games.

Animal Crossing ftw. Maaaannnnnnnnyyyy an hour spent on good ol' AC, but it won't be as fun today with not many people playing it around the world.

Resident Evil 4 is a must.

As are The Windwaker, Twilight Princess, Mario Sunshine, Timesplitters 2, Soul Calibur 2 and bare ovaz, init. But I forget.

God I miss the days of the Cube/Dreamcast etc.

i think we need to know the list of 8 games before we start recomending them, although i think that Legend of zelda wind waker, mario sunshine, ssbm, luigi's mansion and mario kart double dash are definite. rogue leader is a great game too, but i did play another starwars type game on gamecube that was SO shite. starfox adventures is great until you get stuck at the bit where you have to keep this bar steady like on tony hawks. i tried for 3 hours once and to this day i can't do it.
BTW pikmin is shit IMO. i just never got into it and found it very hard and not very fun.
BTW animal crossing seems great at first but gets boring as hell after like 5 months.

everyone is raving about resident evil all the time, yet i have never played a single title. i think at the time i was too young and my parents wouldn't allow it but now i quite want to play it. still seems like a fucking scary game tbh. Do you think i should try it out?

Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games ever.
