im currently an unemployed student and havent got a bird, however; my days usually consist of making hits, making power calls, going for important shits and sometimes actually letting my cohorts into my studio to touch my equipment

When I hear music my mind is trying to figure out how that sound is made, or the melody of evey single instrument.
I cant help it now, its automatic... sometimes I wish I could just sit back and listen to a song.... without thinking
great fun though.

For me Dubstep re-ignited my inspiration.
I was part of the electronic scene over ten years ago when it wasent unusual to see a 303 and an 808 get tweaked by a dj. And the music was raw and dirty. A few years later the masses thought Brian Adams getting remixed to the shittiest trance around was it. By then I was done with all this cookie cutter crap.
Dubstep totally reminds me of the pre 95 days when it was all about little changes being brought in layer by dirty layer to build to some sort of climax and you couldent help but dance your ass off. Now I feel like I gotta show all these new cats the beauty of the 303.
As far as production I had to get that 90's feeling out of me so I fianally was able to afford a computer and Reason in 2001, by 2004 I was pretty sick of electronic music and more into hip hop, but that got kinda stale too. I started to feel like it was work to make a tune...blabity blah now with dubstep I'm stoked again.

Fake your death and change our name?
Just be sure to take your computer with you

i can agree that girlfriends ruin production. i will come upstairs, sit down, fire up the laptop, turn on moniters, open fruity, open whatever project i feel like working on, phone rings, answer it, end up getting dragged out of the house.... Pissed!
