johnnyrebel - ah yes, the cynical, money grabbing side of things extends all the way down from the big corporate labels to the small guys. it's a shame, but the nice ideal that everyone involved in underground dance music is doing it for the love of it is just not the case - as you quickly start to find out when you get involved at a bit of a deeper level. there are plenty of good guys, but there are also plenty of sharks - like your DnB chum here. but that's not half as bad as some of the stories i've heard. in the end you've just got to shrug your shoulders and hope the good will out...

yea thats very true, I think its because ive been gradually getting more involved in the scene ive been finding out things the hard way and through friends of mine who are now doing well themselves. Obviously youve got to make a living but when it comes to making the tunes you should always try and be enthusiastic about what your doing, something a lot of producers seem to forget.

lol just had a look in the newcomers thread and the title of this thread says it all about the responses...it doesn't really bother me tbh, just an observation

as discussed before needs to be more quality control, and new producers need to take stock of as much of the music dynamic (all the way back to UKG origins) before jumping straight into making a track with a 140bpm tempo and a snare on the 3rd
