Welcome to the forum :)

You should start making a tune and then post a link to it here. You can use Divshare, Sendspace or Mediafire to host your files.

Once people hear your song, they will come up with ideas and possibly collaborate. :)

Peace and bass!

Get something posted up mate, and PM me if your interested in doing some Bassline, because I'd really like to do a collab, only problem is I'm on RSN3. Sorry mate, if I get Reason 4 then I'll let you know!

If you don't want to be stereotyped for your age, spell words properly and use decent grammar!

You run the risk of appearing like a 'grime kid' if you use words like 'lyk' etc! ;)

With regards to people robbing your music, I'd worry about that when your album has dropped and your on MTV! Until then, allowing people to hear your tunes will help you to build a fanbase. Ask Blizzard, because he's already on that.

The Widdler is a great example of someone who has posted plenty of previews on Dubstepforum, but is now selling his work on vinyl. Check him out here ----> http://www.myspace.com/widdlemethis

To be honest, you can post any kind of music here! We are open minded and enjoy listening to and creating music. :) Being a forum dedicated to dubstep, most posts revolve around dubstep, but not exclusively so. (Check out the 'Other Music' section (http://dubstepforum.com/viewforum.php?f=28) and 'Secret Ninja Hideout' (http://dubstepforum.com/viewforum.php?f=7).

I assume many people here produce dubstep, but I know that many of us also produce other styles of music too. This often creeps into the production forum. Production techniques that apply to one style of music can be useful in creating other styles, eg EQing & compression.

As well as dubstep, I also produce d'n'b, hip hop and breaks.

If you do post songs though, they usually go in the 'Dubs' section (http://dubstepforum.com/viewforum.php?f=23).

yeh that what i normal see anyway in this forum just dubstep. I been to the dub section n seen people work and all it was dubstep and kind of hesitated to show anything. don't get me wrong i dont make things like dark un listen able music because that the idea people get when you say grime they think oo he's a bad man talks about guns and killing people but no. I only moved on because the more different styles of music i make you become better artist , also you can use diffenent idea n elements from 1 type to another to make something really good!

but how is this getting to help me get a collb of a person on dubstep music? because then you know i can produce and also to what level??

Well, until people hear your stuff, how can they know whether they like your music enough to want to work with you? I don't collaborate on projects with artists whose music I don't feel, if you see what I'm saying?

For me, an excellent collaboration project could, (and hopefully will one day), occur between Thark and Drifterman ----> http://www.myspace.com/dubstepmexico & http://www.myspace.com/1djdom
