Post by picleweasel0 » Tue Aug 05, 2008 9:13 pm

Im lookin for some diverse sounds like strange sounding strings flutes keys[not that diverse]. i was thinkin like realistic sounds too like you could actually get the sound from an instrument.

any vstis or loops that i could mangle and play about with would be greatly appreciated :D

Try pitch shifting, granulating or time stretching some samples or even complete tracks!

go to your local gear shop with a tape recorder and spend the day sampling the gear. tell the saleman you are going to analyze to sound and figure out what you want to buy that way. they usually don't care. the tape record doesn't need to be high quality, in fact low quality might be better. you be surprise how much free material you can get that way...
