just got back from big chill where benga played an outdoor set and smashed it for 2 hours to a beautiful backdrop of sunset, fireworks and nature.
also the last 2 years sonar experiences have been 2 of the best nights out i have ever had and im old! got me thinking that for me outside is the best way to hear bass.

skream at melt! festival... six in the morning... sun coming up over the lake.. surrounded by massive machines... and LoveDon'tComeEasily...
huge.
usually though... have to say it has to be kept indoors... the outside world cant handle the bass.... it just goes flying everywhere... you need to contain that shit.

Too different types of raves
I like my club to be small hot and smokey with a crowd around 300 all brocking out.

either, so long as I can actually feel the bass. Been to enough clubs/festivals where the system was a joke.

The sound outdoors is so much truer and cleaner for me, no nasty standing waves and bass traps.

yeah that was pretty sick with the timing of the wheres my money drop and the burning of that thing. although the system there sounded shit. out to the rinse crew playing in the radio station bit with literally no subbass whatsoever
hear the bass outdoors, feel the bass indoors.

oh, nothing beats the bass vibrations of a proper outdoor festival!
in nz there used to be an annual outdoor party called the roots fest, which was situated right on the beach on the east coast of the south island.
every year, without fail, the bass would bring pods of dolphins right to the shore at sunrise, like they had been drawn to the shore by the pure vibrations.
it was pretty special to behold.
