Samples from the Quake games, Half-Life, Diablo and more. Worth a look. Haven't downloaded any myself though.

Most of the time a game's music, sfx etc. is accessible in the game's directory on your hard drive. Morrowind and Oblivion have some sick music/sounds - excellent for that ye olde, fantasy grandeur that your next banger is clearly missing.

In regards to nintendo music, one thing I like to do is open up a game in an emulator (nestopia and zsnes work well for this), turn off all the sound channels except for one and record that - it's a great way to get individual sounds.
