Surely you would know if it was a gun unless they were using some James Bond style silenced sniper rifles...

yeah this is why we don't think it was a gun as we didn't hear a bang. it was definitely a projectile of some sort though

I will need a facial scar so that's another couple of pints I owe you already

Christ, maybe it'll be cheaper to buy a street in knightsbridge

Fucking hell, looking at those areas you mentioned Thinking on gumtree, average rent seems to about 200 per week!

Is this the housing market thing or have students snapped up all the cheap places?

Perhaps I'm being stupid here but on gumtree does, say, "£200pw" mean 200 quid per week PER PERSON, or 200 quid per week all in?

if its a house share itl be 200 pw per person.

I had a look at flats in around hte east end and there was a few going for 150pw including all bills and that.

I jsut typed in "house share London", into google.

well unless it's an advert for a group who are sharing i'd have thought it was for each person. might be best if you could post a link or something

grrr that's so annoying if they're that expensive. might need a rethink :(

Hold up a minute

I'm searching for 2 bedroom places and fuck all is coming up but when I take off that filter loads of places of under 100 or around 100 a week come up.

Maybe there's just fuck all 2 bedroom places?

I knew I was doing it wrong somehow

Nah lol I'm not that greedy

A mate of mine is moving there with me probably

Badger, ignore my above rantings there's loads of places at a lower price if you take the filter off. They're mostly rooms in bigger houses, though.

I really need a house which demands loud repetitive music and the ingestion of lethal substances.

are you moving soon? would be a lot cheaper if we could get all 3 of us in one house, and less hassle from other people

Go for private landlords in the back of the Evening Post imo. No agency fees and no references etc.

Living alone might not be THAT expensive, though- seem to be places in St Andrews, for example, for 100 quid a week. Which is admittedly still expensive, but there's probably cheaper around.

This is the evening post's site - not sure if they link the private landlords online though.

Might be worth asking on hijackbristol.com too, theres numerous 'moving to bristol' threads from the last few years on there
