minor init, its theres loss really.

i can see why they would feel that way, but its lack of exposure and ignorance dats blockin them.

obviously wobble n drums is probably the baitest style, in terms of mainstream now...

but if u dont know about the deep and dark roots, u havent listened to dubstep properly.

Also if u aint experienced the low frequienecs on a weighty system, at a rave, then u aint listened/felt dubstep properly. thats half the genre right there lol. its the raves that converted me fully.

Bruv, you know what, ive said this so many times on this forum over the last few years, but i remember the early days ov the scene when it was just so small, and just so uniuqe at the time,i was always trying to show people about the music right bk in 2002,showing people about horsepower, skream, benga and so on, and all i used to get from people was, ahrhh, ur a crack head for listening to that and ur mad, u dont know about music, whilst most ov these people was more into under produced music whilst what i was trying to show them was the future and it wasnt all so different to what they was already listening to anyways.

The thing is, most people out there are ignorant, very ignorant, i garentee u that most people u show about dubstep feel it deep down, they are just to proud to say they like it, coz it aint in thier fashion lane, give it time!!

Every 1 that slewed it off to me bk then, are now in love wid it, its their lives, people that i took 2 fwd bk in da day, and i mean bk in da day, it changed their lives!

But then again, u do have to respect people's opinions!

My younger brother told me "It sounds like a MRI machine with some cheesy beat to it...useless".

I gave him "Steppas delight" for his birthday as a joke just because of that.

get it all the time. think u gotta develop an ear for dubstep, cos there's much more to the production than your average pop track. think the people that love the sound are people that are REALLY into music

it pains me that this forum has been reduced to this level of discussion.

Work on things you can change. Opinions of the 99.9999% of the general population who do not like dubstep or know it are not something you can change. Its just bad for your liver. Cheer up.

I think the tune you are on about is Honour Kill on hotflush recordings by luke envoy. Still to this day a fav of mine i fucking love every part of this tune every single beat. Seriously there is so many tunes that are good but something lets em down be it a certain part of the tune, crappy samples, the bass too low or too loud, dodgy mastering blar blar. But this tune is just pure gold. More on the subject i have given up trying to convert all the grime heads round here to feeling dubstep. I agree with what heny g said in an earlier post that a lot of peps probly feel dubstep deep down inside but coz it aint the inthing or should i say coz it aint grime they don't wanna know. There is too many people hearing tunes like sponge bob and night n say caspa n ruskos bits n forming an opinion based on only hearing a few tunes. Peps need to experement more musicly. I remember being 15 sitting in my science lesson listening to kiss garage on my mates discman n we was like garage garage garage fuck house fuck dnb n so on. Well 9 years on i found dubstep, have been mad on it for the last year n a bit and am so glad i opened my mind to more music. I love how versitile the sound is, there is so many different influences in dubstep. Techno, jazz, house, hip hop, reggae, halfstep, 2step 4x4. Artist's such as Clouds, Headhunter, Matty G Mala, Benga and so many more drawing on these influences the possiblilitys are endless. At the moment Anti Social are Wow ing me most, there stuff is so refreshing so exciting, such a breath of fresh air. kinda like when i first heard Eskimo by wiley in the record shop or when i played Know We by Pay as u go on my new decks for the first time, that memory is imprinted on my brain still love the tune to this day .

Everyone has their own particular taste, and if you are unfimiliar with or dont like a certain genre of music, it will just sound like noise. Its no skin off my nose if nextman isnt feeling the dubstep vibe
Don't talk to me about soundsystems, I've been to Leeds...
