i hate using software to produce, im not too keen on using the computer at all so i want to know what are my options if i want to buy a single piece of hardware to produce a whole track on. i like the sound of an mpc but im unsure whether i could get the type of basslines i want from it. the main genres i (try to) produce are dubstep, grime and possibly niche but i havnt really got into it yet.
im after something i can just plug in and starting tapping away without having to look at a screen.
any suggestions?
hardware to make full track on?

I really boils down to if you want to use samples or not.
If you want use samples then go with an MPC or MV etc. The quality of your samples will dictate the quality of your audio output. I picked up an mpc-500 earlier this year to replace a retired ASR-x and absolutely love it. Takes a little bit more time/effort to work out a full track but some of the restrictions are quite beneficial.
If Samples are not your thing then look into an EMU Command station with a couple of good roms. Great sound quality, intuitive sequencer etc. I use one as my primary controller and have gotten some really good results out of it. It also works great for controlling other synths etc.
cheers
