FFS sake mate, it's not that though is it. The guys/girls/whoever behind Various probably read this forum and you're just making a waste thread saying their stuff is overrated and crap. What's the fucking point in that? It was a waste thing to do. I might as well have made a thread saying you're an idiot, but you've managed to make your own thread doing that so it'd be redundant.

LOCK THIS MODS.

And who are Various Production overated by? I don't see a fanclub on this forum.

Time will tell eh? They're on something like their 25th release, with as far as I can see, no play whatsoever in the 'dubstep' scene.

I'm sure they'll be crying into their tea if they read this.

:D

The thing is, I can take that. VP can probably take criticism too. It seems some people are showing levels of insecurity and intransigence worthy of the Church of Scientology. Listen, I'm sincerely sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes, and perhaps I shouldn't have been so forthright, but surely it's a sign of the strength of a scene if people are able to handle the rough with the smooth. After all, we're not, like, creatonists, are we? Group hug.

I really like VP. The Phortune / Limbs 7" and the Diver 12" are undeniable quality :)

whether VP are dubstep or not is of no importance whatsoever

whether they are good or not is personal taste

personally i think hater is one of the best tunes of recent years. whatever genre it is. you are free to think otherwise, but none of this really makes interesting reading 2b honest

goodbye

I love the way on this forum you cant criticise an artist unless you can make better tunes than them

There are a lot of over rated producers. It is a fact. A lot of dubstep is just a load of bollocks and sounds repititive. I'm not going to mention names but everyone knows the producers that keep this scene fresh.

I'm not a fan of any of those tunes that sound like fuckin' hoovers and growling chainsaw bass with some horns and crap like that goin on. It is pretty much one step away from hardhouse at times

But you know it aint for me to judge who's over rated I just like what I like as do other peeps.

I agree, some times a good dose of hate and critisisum is healthy for a scene. Seperates the weat from the chaff and all that...

Plus its all just opinion, so it doesn't really matter in the end as long as it doesn't get personal.

the best part always about these threads is that it just shows you how far people will go as long as they can hide behind their forum name; because you can sure as shit count on the fact that they wouldn't have the balls to tell a producer that he/she's overrated to his/her face.

what would be the point of telling them to their face? as far as i can tell noones trying to deliberately insult any producers theyre just giving their opinion. youre not going to be able to have a discussion with various production about how various production are really overrated are you?

I cannot wait until my productions are so bad that they are slated by this many people... and on that day, I'll be putting out records, while you children are sitting here arguing over what is and isn't dubstep.

Grow up.

Most over-rated question?

"name your favorite/least favorite..."

followed by whatever bullshit arbitrary dick sizing takes place.

Actually, that is the only time you'll hear me say something like that, is to their face. Doesnt make much sense to talk trash behind someone's back, does it? A lot of people hide behind the computer and pretend to be internet bigshots some from this very forum.

exactly!
I tried to avoid contributing to this thread as Id rather see it die a death but I see no constructive criticism of V.P, other than, "They are not good"

First release I heard was all bangers... second release I heard I personally found to be a bit ploddy, and too IDM for my tastes. Your mileage may vary(pun?).

edit - and the most overrated are OBVIOUSLY Trill Bass. Sheeesh.

;)
