Missed the first part...

Starkey killed it from minute 1, fresh grimey hiphoppy and mindwreckin.. Man im happy having him on my label!

Chef was smooth, deep and funky and he smashed it with that Coki tune..

Oneman was very diverse in his tuneselection, killed it though..

Cyrus was like Beelzebub was popping out of my speakers, he was getting real evil on us..

Good show..

OK, here's an mp3 of last night's murkage:

[link edited by Mods - please use the BBC listen back function until it's no longer available!!]

Purely for those who wanna listen to it out and about, it's a pretty good recording off an FM source (radio walkman(!) since iPlayer was down). A little loud perhaps but not distorted, at 160Kb/s, and the Chase & Status track (Eastern Jam) from Bobby Friction's show left at the beginning, just cos its so fuckin awesome.

It sounds a LOT better than the iPlayer stream anyway, much more live sound, so by all means listen to it at home as well. BUT REMEMBER TO FIRE UP THE LISTEN AGAIN FIRST SO MAH GETS THE HITS. Fair enough yeah?

Enjoy.

@Automat3000: Cheers, but can't unzip them on my Mac. Damn! :(

Which tune is it Silkie and Quest rinses at approx. 08:10? The really moody one with the plastic saxophone (which reminds me of the old T-Power jungle tune)? That tune is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking at the tracklist, it's after Hardfood, so Silkie's "Test" would be it. It is good, isn't it? In fact Silkie & Quest's set was one of my faves, some lovely DMZ-style flavours. And contrary to lot of opinion on here, Starkey's was my least fave, too many mids and random synth stuff going on. Not what dubstep is about for me IMO.

PS. Nice to see you on here 2000f. I rinsed your remix of that Natasja (RIP) track for months. It's wicked.

Joker and Nomad absolutely killed it. The best played set of the show imo ;)

3 last Kulture's tunes are stunning.

Oneman's selection is awesome.

Respect goes straight out to MAH. Was a big show :W:

This show has conjured up a parallel sense of excitement about this music to Dubstep Wars. And it demonstrates the breadth of the music.

Just listened again to Silkie & Quest and Kulture. Lushness.

Joker and Starkey antics next. :h:
