i once necked around 4 strong eddies and went and saw him play at herbal...

i didnt quite get him...nor myself really...left me all confused...coz there weren't no structure or groove to his shit....didnt understand it really

have had this conversation with vex'd before and he was like....thats the whole reason...

I love aphex twin! I would say most of his stuff is great but there are the odd bits i find i dont like.

totally agree.
i could say i love about half of his work.
the rest is too scatter brained, or just not listenable to me.
there is alot of electronic music that is like that too me though.
melody and structure is key.

I never get tired of Selected Ambient Works 85-92. It makes me see wierd shapes (and that's without any smokage).

Selected Ambent Works Vol. 2 also excellent.

i agree with this, releases far too much stuff. if he had condensed all he's released into a couple of albums worth of his best material i'd rate him higher. man's a machine though, cant imagine how many tunes he must have on his computer
