That was amazing! Big up Skream and Pokes for making the trek up. And good to see a few more heads there than there were for Mala last month. Dubstep is slowly but surely moving forward up here.

Yeah that was a quality night!

Good too see a lot of folks turning out and jumping about like maddoes.

Too many ridiculous skream tunes by half! That Warrior queen tune almost caused my legs collapse under me.

The sound system was so loud as well, giving me the proper chest rattling!

Whens the next one!!

Did you manage to get Pirie there? Is that him at the bottom.

How full was it, looks a tad sparse.

Venue roof looks a bit low for you, did you have to stoop

Looking so forward moving to Glasgow in two weeks!!! Isn't there another venue round the corner of St. Enoch's? 28th august or something?

Nah, he was playing disco at Melting Pot over the road like the big girl's blouse he is

He was down the Sub on Friday for my first live dubstep set though - audio for that soon BTW

Less than 100 people but that's quite a lot more than were there for Mala last month. It clashed with another underground warehouse party with I-F and Legowelt so a lot of the dubstep fence-sitters opted for that instead. On top of that there was a lot else on this weekend - me and Radioactive Man at the Sub on Friday, Glasgow labels collective party at 69 on Friday, Soma's 15th birthday party at the Arches on Friday, etc etc - so overall I think the EE boys did well to pull in the numbers. And the vibe was absolutely excellent, people were seriously into it and recognised loads of the tunes, called for rewinds etc. Definitely a very positive night.

Aaah, disco, one of the elements of dance music that is thus far sadly missing from dubstep - despite its prevalence in reggae. Considering doing a tune around the "what am I gonna do?" sample from Chic's I Need Your Love that Moodyman used on I Can't Quit This Feeling.

Mmmmmm. RadioActive Man. Bet you had fun there. What set did you do - Broken set, electro or what?

Dubstep seems to be going nation wide at a rate of knots.

Can't wait to hear the dubstep set.

(BTW ppl Tom is a top-notch producer - top-notch as in "attracts international attention and runs a well known boutique label for name artists", not just a bedroom person - will be worth checking his beats when they come through...)

That was the dubstep set

I was on early-ish (but luckily the club filled up early!), then residents plus another local live act, Sleepless Crew, joined the dots from dubstep to Radioactive Man's electro via Burial, dancehall and minimal tech. Great night!

Yeah the Skream night was excellent. It was just unfortunate that there was so much else going on that weekend. I had a great time, however I'm not too sure if I'll be able to catch the next one as I'll be down in London for some time which is a shame because I have a feeling it's going to be large!

Also disappointed that I missed Tom's set at the sub club. Hopefully I'll get another chance!

MASSIVE thanks to everyone for comin down, really pleased that it was a friendly up for it crowd, its always a worry that you might attract the wrong sort of folk when you do a night in a venue like this and flyer for it but there were no hassles at all.
Not sure what to do now as we have two nights booked in basura blanca, but itll never be the same buzz in there, would people on here come down to home if there wasnt a big name guest? Speaking of which,Skream thanks for
comin up, i hope you get all that dirt out yer clobber and Pokes- you are a legend for comin up on the train if yr up for it again then your deffo flyin bruv.
Dont wanna say to much just now about who is in the pipeline for sept/ oct but mr tom and gravious if you guys would be up for playing in aug then we have to chat. Ali could you pm me your no an ill give ye a call? Wormsign was soundin good, despite all those mcs trying to blaze one another over the top of it, ill be keeping a good eye on the mic in future!!
Lastly big love to all me chums who helped out on the night for free, hopefully thisll catch on up here then ill be able to pay ye in future, and thanks to all those who tryed to get the shutters closed, we got it in the end thanks to jimmy from mungo previous job as a roller shutter door engineer!

glasgow did it again! big up skream ,stella on road!!! you wanna talk about grimey venue ? skream and me came out of there with some sort of dungeon sub residue caked all over us! biggup all the glasgow troops ! popes man make sure theres a jug of buckie on chill for me !!! this was one of the biggest moshes ive ever seen to dubstep! at one point everyone was hitting the low ceiling which was on the verge of collapsing on us and destroying us under a ton of floorboards and electric piano! still no one was seriously hurt. except skream and me by the end of the night!!

firstly massive thanks for putting this night on. i have been having dubstep withdrawls since leaving London, but not anymore i hope. The venue was perfect i rekon, no hassles & cheap booze. I much prefer that kind of vibe and would be far more interested in going to Home than a more typical venue, i think you'd be crazy to do it elsewhere. The sound system was also excellent, its nice to see classic dub/reggae soundsytems being open minded and getting involved in the dubstep. Coming through from edinburgh, i am always a bit more likely to come for more guest orientated nights, but will be well up for seeing mr tom play seeing as i missed him at the sub. if you are going for resident only nights, please, please get an MC - have seen a few smaller newer nights miss this vital part of affairs out. finally big thanks to pokes & skream for top music (and both were friendly gents in all). more of the same please......(especially the buckie cocktails)
