some of the noises you can get out of it - with a relatively small amount of tinkering - are frankly obscene
i've heard pendulum use it on pretty much every one of their tunes (which is i suppose not the greatest of endorsements to post on this forum lol)

I use Absynth for most my VSTi adventures, really beautiful sounds, but i still dunno how to assign the LFO to the filter cutoff, does anyone use Abynth for the wobble.
Also does anyone know how to get a nice sub bass sound out of Lin Albino, can't you start with a plain synth rather than the presets?
Cheers.

cool m8...... dont suppose y know the correct buffer settings in quick time. i've got the tutorial dvd for absynth3 but its all out of sync. it uses quick time to play it.
i've got thru the break points en envelopes bit but i'm still avin problems gettin a real dirty bass. i can c how to do it using the sample function but i want to make all the sounds myself so the sounds r original. put a stamp on it like. pm me if ya got any vst's for sale..... for the right money.
an to da kid who posted above... when i figure how to get that wobble right i'll post a walk thru of how i did it cos it takes some fuckin knowledge. an i dont mind elpin a fellow dubstepper out an if u figure it out first then let me know how ya did it...

you need to go to the ni wabsite and theres a page with user wave forms. there free and theres around 20 different bass sounds in a zip file. there all shit though. but it gives you the basis for your wobble. still avin trouble finding the right way to manipulate the envelopes to get a decent sounding wobble effect. i can do it but it sounds weak. that minimonsta looks like it could be easier to use, i can always sample the sounds from minimonsta into absynth3. anyone got a copy for me....

To get a wobble effect you need to assign the LFO to control the filter cut-off, also messing with the envolopes and resonance works, but its just i don't know how to do this in Absynth, the easiest soft synth interface i have used is Albino, try using that if your having troubles.

not just Albino, Albino 3!
My top favs:
Albino 3, Z3ita, Korg MS-20
after postin this, i thought i would go in deep with z3ita. Big Up PK for reminding me of the power of z3ita, been focused on albino till bout a few hours ago. Z3ita is definitly an ultimate tool.

minimonsta is sick.
You don't even need that. Just double up on two oscillators and then detune one until you get the desired effect. Their phase cancellation will cause the wah wah sound.

The basis is the detune, what you can use after that to further shape the sound is pretty limitless.

right worked it out. you use double, then choose square and saw. then use a 4 pole low pass filter to get the bas sound you want ect. then you assign effects. then you go in to midi and in the first bank midi controllers you can assign your keyboard so you can phisically control the filter cut off................
