in all honesty, i have no idea how strict the door guys are with that sort of thing. i'd say its worth a shot regardless. i mean you obviously aren't trying to drink so just tell them you want the below 21 wrist band (as their should be a difference from that and the 21+)

Cool. I'll give it a shot then, nothing lost really. I'll be seeing FlyLo the day before at South Street Seaport. Maybe I can meet him and beg him and my friend for passes lol. I appreciate the advice though, thanks a lot.

andreamia, I don't have a passport, no. I should keep that in mind.

just come and try it brother.

i'm trying to show the venue how much of a demand their could be for this type of event, so the more people standing in line out there the better.

i'll try to find out what the policy is on that scenario before sunday and post

first off, i was very impressed with the decor and ambiance of the space. girly observation: red + black is always an appropriate color choice for that kind of interior! also appreciated the "foyer" room (for breathers + breaks from the sound) and the bathrooms being tucked away from the main space (but easy enough to access without having to walk through a bar to get to them). good job, poisson rouge.

the sound was massive. daedelus killed it as usual - he is a very underrated and underexposed talent (and what a polite gentleman). would have liked his set to be longer :(

so percussion reminded me of the mercury program - they were an interesting change of sound and pace between daed and flylo - it almost seemed like i saw 3 different shows in one night.

ah, flylo - first time seeing him, siiick! i was secretly hoping he'd play the martyn rmx of roberta flack - that drop was THE best moment of the night .. the samba rmx of mia doi todd's tune, lovely .. and his closing with a new/unreleased rmx of a radiohead tune! wow. strangely enough, the crowd reacted the rowdiest when he dropped dubstep - the sound is definitely catching on to a broader (and younger) audience here in new york.

this coupled with ellen allien and modeselektor last thursday is ushering in a nice fall indeed.

glad you had a good time

both daedelus and flylo had great sets. due to the programing of the event, the schedule of performance was as it was. it even through me off guard

spliff dub and robo tussin were also highlights of the dirty bass portion of the set

keep up on our schedule. very eclectic booking and hopefully more bass business soon
