don't sites where large sets of released material detract from sales? coz every1z already got the tunes they wanted. and don't it also drop radio listening figures?

lol - is that a dig and me and deapoh?

you have a point of course. but ultimatlely i believe that i) the sets' promotional function totally outweigh any possible negative affect on sales and ii) listening figures for rinse are impossible to measure and the only gauge is how many people are texting and one dinging. this is always something which fluctuates but yes, this is an issue which concerns me. i've taken measures to counter this. i do believe, however, that the majority of the people who download the sets religiously don't and cannot lock in live for whatever reason. plus barefiles and this forum always encourage the use of the listen again feature for commerical radio and don't provide mp3 links before this function has elapsed.

gone a little off topic this though, hasn't it.

Fully Recordingz, those sites are the main reason dubstep is as big as it is.

" as soon as the scene you stumble across is being reported on in a broadsheet newspaper...then its over"

Read this in HHC this week, seems relevant.

Haven't read this whole thread - but from the original article I think this is a very cogent point:

"In a maze of playful semantic games, dubstep is the real deal,"

Refreshing isn't it. No mess, no fuss, just juice.

:D
