Foals

Post by xxxy » Fri Aug 29, 2008 9:31 pm

now I'm not someone for guitar music but after seeing their great live performance at Dour and then subsequently buying the album I am impressed anyone else?

a good mix of mogwai style post rock and the modern angular chart rock stuff

yeah I think they're good, even if to me the vocals are quite weak in comparison to their sound

I just like the vibes they come with, good party music. Some of the drops on their album are very nice

They're pretty good, the ginger drumming twat from the band is some kid from my town. Wanker IMO.

they seem like utter chiefs, but their album is literally quite good.

they're proper good. Live and the album... the only song i hate by them is that cassious. It's jus shit... gives a poor representation of 'em IMO considering its their most well known song. But yeah, can't get enough of the drums in pretty much every song.

Oh yeah, and they were fucked when i saw them at leeds. The guitarist threw up on stage half way through heavy water, I think it was, and didn't stop playing or anythang. Was pretty bad ass

I saw them live a while back on Scarborough beach of all places and they sucked.

But I got drawn in by the album and enjoyed it for a while.

Now I'm not so keen on the album its all a bit samey and bland.

the version of 'big big love' that came out as a b-side to balloons was soooo much better than the album version. i don't mind them, few good tracks.
