[OT] Myspace is fucking shit!

Post by spencertron » Tue Sep 09, 2008 9:19 am

i can't update gig dates because the stupid flash ads for 'meeting people' and 'the pussycat dolls' turn the fucking screen blank, same happens when typing messages.

Myspace are a bunch of prickfucks

that is all...feel free to add more hate here.

Tried using Flash Block if you're on FireFox? Sick plugin. Blocks all Flash content unless you want it to show up (by clicking an arrow where the flash originally was). You can choose sites that aren't blocked, unblock certain flash files and so on.

Really usable, especially fo Myspace HEAVY flash content.

How dare they put adverts on a completely free networking site!

Maybe try getting a computer that doesn't go blank at the slighest blink of flash content, mine doesn't do that

no, that wasnt' the issue. the issue was, the website content completely disappears in place of an advert and so does everything you've just typed into a form field, this also happens when you're updating/messaging...meaning all input is lost.

i'm on a mac (macbook). and once again, it's the ads affecting the content of the website. its not the computer.

it's sorted now, thanks anyway :)

i will leave here a humorous quote that was directed at myspace by a friend:

"blow me you fucking website, and fuck right off"

i hate myspace too. virb is much better. having your own private site is best, imo.
