finally gets round to putting my bit in....

yeh i thought it was an ok night, wasn't a great one by any means but then dmz is dmz init, it's always guna be well above average. don't know though, did anyone else think the soundsystem went a bit tame after kode played? really enjoyed kode though, was particularly feeling the soca sort of flows in the funky, reminded me of carnival. gutted i missed pinch, didn't get there 'til about half 1.

jak was ill, so good hearing atlantis roll in. good to hear jungle played a bit slower too. old skool speed. clocked mala having a right brockout on the floor at the end. reminded me of

definitely a younger crowd in now. good seeing how diverse it's getting though, my girlfriend saw a load of her lot in there who hadn't even heard of dubstep a few months ago!

out to roko on his epic mission home- discipline next time mate! good to meet ya nesslei!
and big up kulture on yer debut

if you're after tunes like that you want to look to LTJ Bukem, look for his "logical progression" cd's. however i guess thats more drum'n'nbass really. for jungle, just get hold of some compilations and you'll soon get to know. :)

There was also a set of compilations Bukem put out
called 'Points in Time' with all the early Good Looking
records stuff. Atlantis is on Volume 2.

Hunt them down. The first few are full of classics from that
golden period just before the music sprouted a small beard
and became 'intelligent'.

Was it http://www.myspace.com/djkutzuk - Kutz & Benga - I'l Kut Ya? He played a couple of bangers at the end, but that's the only one I'd heard before/know the name of.

Big tune that -probably my favorite tune of the night, closely followed by Coki - Fuck Off, as I'd never heard that in a club before. Although I was going mental when Kode9 played The Bug - Poison Dart as well :D
