Now, now brovers and sithers. There is nothing to fight and argue about here.
Here is a solution. If you want to try it.
Guess what number I am thinking of between 1 and 1,000,000
whoever gets closest gets to keep the name whoever doesn't guess it - well ya know.
They have to change their name!
So what do you say?
Wanna give it a shot?

ABout 5 or 6 years ago circa 2000 I started a crew with a guy called Ben P under the name of The Forenzikz and made a few hip hop tracks. We later jacked it in when some guy looked at a flier and thought it said the Foreskinz.
Anyway I'll be extremely diplomatic and not take action to either of you guys if you both imediately paypal me £1000,000.
I'll also accept check or cash.
Diss.
P.S. Euros are also accepted.

Right, that thread's starting to piss me off as much as the name issue itself now!
How about we resolve the matter and move on?
I'm happy for you to use the name 'Forensix (mcr)', because it's different enough to mine to stop it compromising me.
But I would insist you stick to adding the mcr bit, rather than just using it when it suits you.... ie. I'd want you to change your username on here & everywhere else, and print the mcr bit on any releases. You can get your name changed on here by PMing 'Moderator' - not Dubway, who's on holiday.
Anyway, assuming you agree to that & stick to it I'm happy to let the matter drop - nothing against you personally, and dont want things to get too ugly. But I'm not gonna be some sort of laughing stock after the years of work I've put in. And I'm Not happy with everyone confusing us.
If it still happens once you've changed the name then so be it - I'll be satisfied you've done what you can. But as things stand I do think it's out of order. You've gotta see it from my perspective - like Tronman said I've been pushing dubstep since the dubplate days, and relatively speaking you've only just moved over to this scene. As things stand your name's one letter different to mine, which (as ENough people have said to me) is cheeky as fuck.
All I ever expected you to do was use the mcr bit everywhere, not just on myspace (which doesnt mean shit). As far as I'm concerned you agreed to that, but didn't follow through. You also chatted about changing your name more drastically, but that's your call.
I would have just PM'd you this, but since I've been accused of misquoting (and you're a bloodsucking lawyer type
) figure it's better to settle this publically.
So, what you saying?

Actually, we're not allowing name changes any longer because it can cause problems with the database. If you want to change your name, please start a new account. Right, carry on.Forensics wrote: You can get your name changed on here by PMing 'Moderator' - not Dubway, who's on holiday.

and its two letters
I did mention it, however i never said i was definitely changing it as you can imagine being told by you that i was changing my name was a bit of a shockForensics wrote:All I ever expected you to do was use the mcr bit everywhere, not just on myspace (which doesnt mean shit). i get pm's on this username so i'll keep it to check them and i occasionally might post using it but that'll only be accidental
I am not backing down on this.Forensics wrote:I would have just PM'd you this, but since I've been accused of misquoting (and you're a bloodsucking lawyer type) figure it's better to settle this publically.

Many of you will know that for the last 6 months at least i have been using the (mcr) moniker on the end of my name and unfortunately people whove known me for the last few years know me as forensix and they still use that, i can only ask them not to.
It has never been my intention to steal your thunder i'm sure you can understand that.
i feel that this situation has not been dealt with in a proper manner - ie you sending pm's to people behind my back, threatening legal action (come on you seriously think that would do anything except cost you money??) but i'm willing to let it go cos i hate beef and ive had enough of this. Ive spoken with the label and there will be no confusion.
i wish you the best of luck with what you do.
Err, PM's are private by definition. I messaged youforensix wrote:sending pm's to people behind my back
first (by a matter of days), and then when you didn't
respond I contacted some of the PI lot. I thought it was
fair to advise them of my position in case it was relevant.
Anyway, that (and not much liking your tone) aside I'm happy
now. And likewise, I wish you luck with your stuff. You can take
my issues as a compliment - if people are confusing us you must
be doing something right

enough kinda guy when we met so I'll be glad to move on from this
