Help me build a FUNK/SOUL playlist...

Please add as many FUNK/SOUL songs to this thread to make the most comprehensive funk/soul playlist EVER.

I'm thinking rotary connection, meets womack and womack, meets al green, meets aretha franklin... etc. classics welcomed. rarities welcomed too. feel free to spit out the obvious ones. i'm going to use this as a rubric for a gigantic playlist for my ipod.
