into Wimbledon/Southfields border

can anyone who knows the area well recommend places to check out -- bars, nice spots, shops and maybe a decent gym down there

thanks in advance

Probably central Croydon for shopping. I think Wimbledon caters for itself with entertainment etc. For everything else there is the district line into central london.

like ashley said, you've gt the district line to central, or you've gt wimbledon, kingston, croydon for shopping. theres a huge gym in wimbledon, david lloyds i think.
