so what's next for burial?
so what's next for burial?
absolutely loved the breezeblock mix, and can't get enough of the full album (fucking brilliant!). i haven't been this excited about a musician or the possibilities and direction of a whole genre of music in a very very long time (not since optical came on the d&b scene).
so what's next? EPs, singles, new albums, dj gigs, mixes etc? i'm dying for more burial material! heard "unite" on myspace, and the tune is amazing. like the rest of his music; so raw, emotional, haunting, and uplifting at the same time (not to mention plain funky). more burial please!

i think you'd hate it joe... it's like an schoolboy take on grime mixed with Lamb/Clannad/Morcheba/somebeardyweirdyfolkrecords. "hater" is good but the rest...Joseph-J wrote:I take it Various is worth getting then?seckle wrote:my prediction: burial and various productions, battle it out for electronica album of the year.
Have to give it a listen.

i think they're creating some pretty interesting stuff. not schoolboy at all. yeah it's got female vocals, but it's done properly.Blackdown wrote:i think you'd hate it joe... it's like an schoolboy take on grime mixed with Lamb/Clannad/Morcheba/somebeardyweirdyfolkrecords. frankly speaking I can't wait anymore for it.
I think that there will be the same versions, except Distant Lights(Kode9 Rmx). By the way it's nice choice from the album. My favs are Pirates and GuttedJoseph-J wrote:They going to be versions or same as on the album?glacial wrote:what's next? hmm

As to various production, I think that burial should not be compared with them.
it's better to to draw the analogy Various Production - Boxcutter, which is controversial again
