MASSIVE AND REASON

Im trying to find out if massive works with reason and how i go about doing it if it does tried looking on net not having luck, thought i would try and see if any 1 here knows help would be welcome. thanks Studio secrets

yeah it works with reason, but you've got to rewhine it to abletone lathe. After it's properly rewhined (check the back of reasons, its the third cable to the left, thats the rewhine cable) you can run it through the master in of reasons, but you've got to make sure that the reasons preferences are set to "jack in/out" on the midi submenu. You can find the midi submenu in the general preferences, in the "load recent file" menu, under the windows button in vista, and the apple button in linux.

The important thing to remember is that the reason dedicated hardware box has been updated recently. This will only work with RDHU2 (reasons dedicated hardware unit update) 5.1.03 - thats important because anything older is going to fuck up your reasons install and void the hardware unit warranty. Also you're going to want to get a CV to MIDI converter, if you plan on doing any actual patch programming with massive.

Hit me up if you have any questions, and you can pick up most of the adaptors you'll need at a local radio shack. Good luck!

Im confused...Why would he need a physical adapter for a soft synth in a software sequencer? There is no hardware!

well the only version of reasons worth getting is the super extended plus version. thats what caspa uses.

I have heard equally dumb shit come out of people on here that wasn't a joke. Guess I just dont get the point in typing up a huge fuck off reply to someone actually looking for help. Sure, they need to do ALOT of reading but still...Picking on the new kids was never really my thing. :?
