Was an awesome night! Starting was a bit :o as I wasn't sure quite what was being played - sounded like clowncore to me, main room (Global Goon!) was more to my taste till Jamie Vex'd came on. Had a bit of sound trouble at the start (left deck was playing to left speaker only, right deck was playing to right speaker only) but that got sorted out and was well good.

Quite enjoyed Mary-anne Hobbs' selection. But Distance just absolutely wrecked the place, as usual. What was the last tune he played? Don't recall hearing it before.

Wandered over to Shitmat's set sometime after that, was fucking hilarious!

Managed to shout Hi at Simian, who was helpfully wearing a dubstepforum t-shirt!

yeah his set was just brilliant so many different layers and tempos, absoloute quality. agree about the absoloute fucking nonsesne that was on before though, actually sounded like that bit from brasseye when they slow down the music that "cake" users listen to. oh well, each to their own. Was worth the price for Vex'd & Hobbs alone though, and seeing girls in art school uniform walking round with their 'very first 12"' too!

I was down the front in a Bangface Hard Crew t shirt absolutely loving it. Jamie Vex'd fucking SMASHED it.

What was the tune Mary Anne Hobbs rewound? I need that.

Are you guys talking about uZiq's set before Jamie Vexd? I thought he was on fire! Proper breakcore, nasty fucked up Junglist vibes... should've been on later, though, it was a bit full on for midnight!

I'll check it out when I get home... I can't remember exactly how it went, but I think it'll be pretty recogniseable... a sort of almost-reesey bassline that drops into a reeaaaallly fast and heavy wobble is how I remember it.

All I remember doing was turning round and catching the eye of a mate of mine who was about 5 people back from the front looking absolutely astonished at how big it was.

Yeah, had a relisten to the Starkey stuff from Generation Bass in the end and realised it wasn't any of those... got myself a bit hyped for the Starkey album again, though!

Eastern Jam might be my favourite tune since Poison Dart. I'm going to have to go and buy the 12" tomorrow.
