[/quote] The voice agrees 100% with this statement , the voice works in the distribution end of music and we see time after time tracks from labels that have evolved on the back of a forum( if you look around this forum you can see plenty of forum based labels and producers) do not sell , i check here ever day and see hype about so&so forum members tracks being great , i see some of them come on to vinyl and then sell about 100/200 copys
plus a lot of the forum djs on internet radio shows such as subfm/rinse etc etc etc don't really lend any weight to promoting your track , the voice gets 100's of requests a month looking for promo 320's etc from internet radio djs but i dont bother giving them anything becuase they maybe play to an average of 3 - 150 listeners. . . one mary ann Hobbs is worth 50 internet radio djs playing your track .
so the point the voice is making is that the forums are not the be all and end all of the scene and should not be treated as such.

p.s. "The Voice" seriously needs to stop talking about itself in third person. Way annoying...

the voice needs to up it's 'person' game, it appears to switch randomly from third person to first person to first person plural

(although i do generally agree with the point it's making)
